Student Voices
This year the theme for Mental Health Day is ‘Voices’ - from the experience of hearing voices, to making your voice heard by talking about personal experience of mental health and wellbeing. We want to help reduce stigma by making the University community more aware that mental health difficulties are common - and that there are things that everyone can all do to improve their mental health, whether they have a mental health diagnosis or not.
We spoke to Cassie, a member of the Mind Matters Committee (the Mental Wealth group at the University of Leeds) about how students can look after their mental health and why initiatives like University Mental Health Day are important to her.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. I don’t know where you are getting your information from because it is incorrect. I haven’t even spoken to Ellie since July LAST year and even then we only met up for lunch because we hadn’t seen each other in MONTHS. (Not that I have to explain myself to you or anyone else other than my fiancé). If you actually bothered to speak to me personally about it rather than an anonymous question on a blogging site that I hardly even use… Then maybe you would be able to get your facts straight. Oh my God I have lived in a city almost an hour away from that shithole for over a year and I still manage to get sucked into the bullshit lesbian drama. The Lesbians of Chesterfield are leeches. Emotional vampires. You all crave drama and sticking your noses in business that doesn’t concern you. it is hardly surprising that I couldn’t wait to get out of there. It’s pathetic. Why don’t you try focussing on your own lives and relationships rather than sticking your oar in other people’s? Then maybe you wouldn’t all be such a mess….. Good day to you.
So me and Gemma have been in London this week for a little break since I have finished and passed my first year of Uni finally!!
We spent last night in Brighton where we stayed in the most lovely hotel, where we were upgraded to a kingsize room, with our own balcony overlooking the marina. We watched the sunset on the balcony, went out for a lovely meal, and she took me for a night time visit to Brighton wheel where we enjoyed the VIP lounge and had a glass of champagne, and could see for miles! On the top of Brighton wheel she said some lovely things, got out the most beautiful ring I have ever seen, and asked me to marry her!! And of course I said yes!!!! :):)
So we got back and told family and everyone else! And everyone, including us, is absolutely ecstatic! My Facebook and phone have only just stopped buzzing almost 24 hours later!!
And then this morning we got up and went for the most beautiful breakfast where we had fruit, yogurt, croissants, toast, and a cooked breakfast! With proper tea!!! Then we sat on the balcony because it was such a beautiful morning before we had to leave!! So we finished off by taking the city sightseeing bus back to the station. So it was sosososososososo perfect and I am sooo happy you wouldn’t even believe :)

I don’t feel like I know enough about it to comment - though she exploited, deceived, and assaulted and deserves her punishment. I’m not sure to what extent she understood what she was doing though. I dunno.

Tell me, Anon, what have I destroyed? I’m in a stable relationship, living in a nice, clean little flat. Out of the parental home and into a new city, doing well at University, and on my way to being a nurse. With positive, kind people around me, building strong relationships and living the fucking dream ;)
